Spent some time FINISHING a couple of paintings. I feel like I have too many things left undone right now, so I’m going to try to rectify that. Here they are:

Spent some time FINISHING a couple of paintings. I feel like I have too many things left undone right now, so I’m going to try to rectify that. Here they are:

Thanks! I really enjoy painting fabric. I find the abstract qualities of the folds soothing to paint as it takes time and it’s easy to get lost in it.

Both lovely. The lemons are especially spectacular! Both rind and fabric are handled expertly. It’s a gorgeous piece.

I more or less repainted the lemons. I liked the top two in the image that I last posted of this one, but the bottom one seemed really muddy. But I wanted to keep them all quite closely related so I worked on all three of them at the same time.

Thank you! I didn’t have very high expectations for this one when I began and I am pleased with how it turned out.
