For a change I decided to paint something from life rather than from photo reference. And this is what I ended up with. I don’t love it – I’m not sure I even like it. But it’s all part of the process.
And just for fun, I took a pano of my studio this afternoon:

love the natural fresh free look of the painting from ‘real’ life!

I would really like to develop a fresh, painterly approach – that kind of style where the brush strokes are evident and look effortless. I’m pleased I may have given something of that impression here. Thanks for the comment!
