Three images this week. The glass of my lemon vase slowly develops, open books gain some definition and I manage one of my three drawings for the week. And ‘manage’ is a term I use loosely… It’s been an odd week though – hopefully this one is better.
My favorite is the lemons in the glass. I wish there was more of those fabric folds. They are so beautiful and mysterious! Great work.

Thank you! Drapery is one of my favourite things. I still have to take another pass to these ones – we’ll see how they turn out in the end.

I particularly like the open books.
And the beauty quote.

Thank you – I am still deciding if the open books is complete or not. I have a hard time knowing when to stop.

That’s a great Artist Issue – when and how to finish. I think there could be as many people who grapple with that as who grapple with how to start. Almost. A lot of us heard messages like: ‘Don’t keep working on that. You’ll muck it up.’ And sometimes tis true. I like the books as they are, personally.

I think you’re right – I have a bad habit of working things to death and thinking too much about them. I believe I will declare Open Books finished. At least for the foreseeable future.
